These nuts have a spring that allows them to be precisely placed anywhere along a strut channel. The spring also holds the nut in position while fittings, hardware, or additional pieces of strut channel are connected with bolts. They push spring-side-down into the channel and secure with a twist. Their teeth create a strong grip when tightened against the strut channel's edges.
